Indian: Sorry there are no sketches available for the Indian. The Indian character is the first character I ever modeled using the Meshsmooth or subdivided surfaces technique. His main body consists of two parts, above the waist and below. His hair is separate and the piece of cloth hanging from his pants at front and in back are new to the model. I'm experimenting with cloth simulation on them to see if I can get some good results. After building this model I fell in love with the modeling technique. All the organic characters I build are done with this method. I find it easier and faster to bone and creating morph targets for facial animation is a snap. The downside is when it comes to texturing. I've had trouble using texture maps with Meshsmooth, but I think that's been fixed in MAX 4.0. |
